What's new at CluedUpp HQ?

If you’re following us on social media, you may be aware that we’re extremely close to the release of our brand new, highly anticipated Witchcraft & Wizardry game, debuting March 7th!

We’re also really excited to be launching a completely revamped app to play the game on; with a total visual overhaul to what you would’ve seen on our ‘CluedUpp Detective’ app, the all new ‘CluedUpp Geogames’ app will offer a much more enjoyable experience for the wannabe witches and wizards playing our game.

Want to know more? Well, a wizard never reveals his secrets… but without revealing too much, here’s 5 brand new app features that will enhance your CluedUpp experience!

1. New Game Engine/Game Mechanics

Let’s start with one of the most exciting, yet not so easily understood features. For those of you who are into tech, the game has been produced using a new engine! This new game development software lays the framework to build a game, for those of you who are less into your technology and gaming. This means better graphics and memory management. As for the new game mechanics, these will provide a greater level of player interaction within the game.

2. Team Voting System

This is a really exciting new feature that gives every player equal involvement. We now have a team voting system that allows supporting team members to vote on answers to riddles and questions. This allows the whole team to give their individual input throughout the game and have a voice. Don't forget that you can change leader throughout the game to give everyone that final say!

3. Illustrated Characters

One thing our team at CluedUpp HQ have been working on, is implementing beautiful illustrated characters into the game. We’ve also been working hard to get these illustrated characters animated for certain parts of the game and we’re confident you’re going to love them! You may have already met Old Gerty, the erratic and withered driving force for Witchcraft & Wizardry, or Marjorie Mandrake the veteran witch hunter but if you haven’t yet made yourself familiar with some of our favourite characters, why not head on over to our Facebook page and take a look?

4. Pause Feature

This is the one you've all been waiting for... we listened, and we have given it to you! The new Witchcraft & Wizardry game lets you pause the game (whether that's for lunch or a cheeky drink or two…)

5. In-house Narrative Designer

Back in October 2019 we hired Nick, our in-house Narrative Designer. He’s been working behind the scenes, injecting his narrative magic into the world of Witchcraft & Wizardry to ensure it’s our most spellbinding storyline yet.
