Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards: If it wasn’t for that lake…
Last night, the team from CluedUpp HQ donned their dresses, suits and very on-brand pink bow ties to attend the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards, at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.
It hadn’t been the easiest of weeks (the COVID-19 outbreak is taking its toll on us all), so it was great to get the team together, out of the office for a night of celebration. We were finalists for not one, but two awards: for Leisure & Entertainment and our founder Tref Griffiths was a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.
We got off to a less than successful start when we lost out in the Leisure & Entertainment category to a lake (an actual body of water!). However spirits were high and wine was pouring - we weren’t letting ourselves get washed away that easily…
The night continued with plenty of deserving winners collecting trophies - we had all but forgotten we still had one last opportunity to be victorious! And victorious we were, Tref, our founder, won Entrepreneur of the Year.
This award means such a great deal to us, we are a small business who work tirelessly to produce fun mysteries that get people out of the house, engaging with logic puzzles and riddles whilst spending time with family and friends. So for Tref, who came up with this idea whilst trying to find more healthy and exciting ways to spend time with his family, to be recognised is such an honour.
Thanks to all the CluedUppers who have played our games - we wouldn’t be here without you. Here’s to continuing the good work (and not being beaten by a lake again anytime soon…)
