Meet the CluedUpp Team
Have you wanted to know who the faces behind the CluedUpp team are?
From product and operations teams to marketing and customer service, there are a variety of weird and wonderful people who make up the team who bring the murder, mystery, and mayhem to city streets worldwide.
Once upon a time, CluedUpp started as a 3 person business, who sat around the CEO’s kitchen table. 5 years on, 3 office moves and 6 themes later, CluedUpp now has 16 individuals who help bring the vision of CluedUpp to life by bringing more events, more exciting themes and more products for you to enjoy.
So let’s begin by introducing you to the team…
Tref - CEO
Tref is our Owner, Founder and Chief Detective here at CluedUpp. A serial entrepreneur who is passionate about creating new products and experiences for our customers to enjoy. When he's not dreaming up wacky ideas, you'll find him playing sports or being beaten by his kids at Mario Kart.
Luke - Customer Experience Manager
Luke is our Customer Experience Manager who’s responsible for finding ways to meet our customer's needs, loyalty and satisfaction. Responsible for bridging the gap between customers and the brand to ensure that all stages across the customers' journey are engaging, efficient and effective.
Outside of CluedUpp, he's a proud dad of two and enjoys boxing and watching football (even if he does support West Ham) just don't trust him with food in the office.
Rob - Research Manager
Robert is our Research Manager, he puts our ‘witnesses’ and puzzles into each city. In his spare time he writes novels and history textbooks and can’t go more than an hour without playing music.
Stephen - Senior Unity Developer
Stephen is one of CluedUpp's Unity developers, responsible for the development and maintenance of CluedUpps's client side mobile applications. An avid gamer and consumer of murder mystery shows + wine.
Nicole - Digital Marketing Executive
Nicole is one of our Digital Marketing Executives who’s responsible for all things digital.
You’ll usually see her tinkering with CluedUpp’s social media channels from Facebook, Instagram to Twitter and creating TikTok videos (and usually tries to bribe the rest of the team to be in the videos) and is responsible for the overall marketing strategy of what you see online.
Outside of work, Nicole is a keen musical theater fan who loves seeing shows, singing & acting in local pantomime productions and she’s always trying to educate the rest of the team with her musical repertoire on Alexa.
Ollie - Product Designer
As a Product Designer, Ollie is responsible for designing the look, feel and gameplay of our games. He collaborates closely with the Product Team to come up with new ideas, gameplay mechanics and to make sure the games are as fun as possible.
His day-to-day activities include sketching wireframes, creating user-flows, testing new ideas and collaborating with the team. Outside of work, he loves to go Paddle boarding, drink coffee, cook and keep fit.
Tara - Graphic Designer
Tara is our Graphic Designer. Her role is to come up with all things creative! Whether it is designing eye-catching social media posts, new email creatives, website assets or simply thinking of new marketing ideas.
Outside of work, you can find her spending time with family and friends, watching movies, eating... a lot and oil painting. She’s also always trying to learn something new and is currently learning Spanish.
Rich - Head of Product
Rich is our Product/Technical lead. A lifelong gamer and Nerd he heads up our Production team here at Cluedupp and has yet to find an activity that can't be turned into a game of some sort. When he's not stuck into a Code/ Design/Planning task you'll find him playing Lego with his kids or tinkering with electronics projects.
Chris B - Customer Service Manager
Chris is our Customer Service Manager. His main responsibility is to ensure all customers are responded to weekend staff management. He also handles data processing for feedback from customers and provides prizes to award winners after the events.
Outside of work, he’s a Nottingham Forest football fan and enjoys watching and playing football. You can also find him busy either doing DIY around the house or helping to look after the horses he has.
Chris C - Research Assistant
Chris is one of our Research Assistants at CluedUpp Games. His day-to-day role at CluedUpp Games involves researching geographical locations and designing the localised game structure for each individual city where a particular game will be deployed.
Outside of work, he is a llicenced UK Amateur Radio Operator with a special interest in communications on the High Frequency part of the radio spectrum. In addition to this, he has an ongoing interest in monitoring how space weather events affect communications on this important section of the radio spectrum.
Cristie - Digital Marketing Executive
Cristie is one of two Digital Marketing Executives at CluedUpp and is currently the newest team member (not for long though!). She's the person behind some of the most recent social media posts and email campaigns.
Outside of work, she is either working towards her degree in Graphic Design or playing games on the PS4 with her partner. Her current game of choice is the new Lego Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga!
Ryan - Research Assistant
Ryan is one of our Research Assistants. He has various responsibilities, such as setting up and sending out the game instructions, creating the Facebook event pages and creating the game maps.
In his spare time he's a Singer/Songwriter and can play 5 different instruments.
Laura - Customer Service Hero
Laura is our Customer Service Hero who's responsible for answering any enquiries through email and social media to ensure our customers have the best time taking part!
Outside of work, she loves a movie or games night; reading horror or fantasy novels; spa days and theatre trips. If any of these also include a glass of wine or a lot of coffee then she's set.
Matthew - Operations Supervisor
Matthew is our Operations Supervisor. His main responsibility is planning and putting together the events schedule for our new game releases, so if you would like an event in your city then he’s the person to speak to.
Other operational tasks he’s responsible for includes complying with local health regulations in all the cities we visit, keeping an eye on event sales levels and many other bits and pieces. However, in between all of the above you will also find him helping our product-ops team building games for cities across the globe.
Out of work, he’s quite a chilled person, loves spending time with the family, supporting his local footy team and also enjoys a good drive out in my beloved Mini.
Eliot - eCommerce Manager
Eliot is our eCommerce Manager at CluedUpp. He has a variety of responsibilities including keeping the website running smoothly to planning our big launches. No two days are the same for Eliot, as he could be writing content at the start of the week to running tests and performing analysis by the end.
He had hoped to become the resident CluedUpp DJ, but sadly, and by overwhelming public demand, he’s no longer allowed to pick any music in the office.
Nicki - Head of HR
Nicki is our Head of HR focusing on Training and Development of the CluedUpp team (Also side hustles as the CEO's PA) Outside of work she can often be found in her kitchen cooking up a storm or binging the latest crime drama on Netflix.
Leigh - Customer Service
Leigh has recently joined our customer service team.
